Patchwork Blanket

Anna Tabbush

Don’t hold on
Just let go
It’s time to fall
And know that we will catch you
Let us wrap you
In a patchwork blanket
Stitched with friendships
You made along the way

You’ve worked hard
always giving
spent a lifetime
Serving those who need you
Now it’s time that all of us repay you
You can let those weary bones lay down

Chorus

Just like patches
Build a blanket
You tend your people
So one day they may hold you
And it’s hard
To take a break from habits
But you can let those weary bones lay down

Chorus x 2
Stitched with friendships
You made along the way
