Welcome
If you have just decided to join our choir, welcome! Your details have been to the choir email system (Muzodo) and all future information will now come to you from that. It will only include information that is relevant to our choir or to events that involve Anna (our choir leader). Please register your acceptance of membership when you receive a welcome email from Muzodo. From time to time, Muzodo will contact you to ask if you can attend certain choir events and performances. Replying is very easy as you simply need to click on one of the options of ‘Yes’; ‘No’; or ‘Maybe’, which will appear in the body of the email. Your name will then be added automatically to the list of responses. If at any time you wish to change your response (for example from ‘No’ or ‘Maybe’… to ‘Yes’) you will need to access Muzodo to do so. If you have any difficulty in doing that, please speak to Eileen or Briony at rehearsal – and we’ll be happy to help.
You will find below the current details you need for attendance and to pay for choir membership on-line. Please note that we keep Covid guidance under review as circumstances change.
1. Please – do not attend choir if you have any flu-like symptoms or feel ill in any way, as that could mean you have contracted Covid. You can attend choir via Zoom as an alternative. The following link is for a recurring meeting so please take note of it and use it any time you want to attend choir via Zoom.

Meeting ID: 819 7441 9161 Passcode: 821620
2. On arrival – Please ensure that your name has been ticked off on the register before going to your seat and pay weekly subs to Geoff (if you have not paid on-line for the whole or half term).
3. Subscriptions – At the start of each term, you will be notified of the cost for the whole term, which will equate to £5.00 per session. You may also pay half termly at the same sessional rate. Those costs apply both for live rehearsals and attendance via Zoom. You may also pay session by session at a cost of £7.00 per evening. Geoff is happy to take cash or cheque payments at each choir session, but payment by BACS transfer would be preferable for termly or half termly amounts. For the current half term, the cost is £30.00. The choir bank details are as follows: Account name: Guildford Vox Community Choir; Sort code: 23 05 80; Account: 32836216. Please note that your on-line banking system may message you to say that the account name does not match the account number. That could be because the choir’s lengthy account name does not fit into the number of characters available. If you receive that message, please just check you have entered the account numbers correctly and if you have, it will be safe to authorise payment. As we are a community choir, all are welcome, so if personal circumstances are such that you cannot afford to pay the full amount, we are happy for you to pay whatever you can afford.
4. At break time – This is usually at 8.00.p.m. To reduce the risk of Covid infection we encourage choir members to take their break outdoors and we leave the church door open so that the church can be aired.
5. Choir Performances – Whilst we do not have a choir uniform as such, we ask that choir members dress smartly for performances, wearing black with a touch of bright emerald-green. The latter could be a tie, waistcoat, scarf, top, shirt, badge or jewellery.
COVID 19 (for info):
- Start at 7 p.m. We will revert to the former start-time of 1900 (7 p.m.). If you arrive late, please ensure you sign yourself in. This is a requirement of the venue hire.
2. Mask wearing.…will not be required on entry and exit, or when moving around the church.
3. Lateral Flow Tests are no longer required. Taking lateral flow tests prior to attendance is no longer requested.
4. Spacing. Spacing of chairs will be continued.
5. Outdoor breaks. The front door will be open during the breaktime. Outdoor breaks are encouraged, and available for those who want them. However, going outside is not mandatory any more.
